Register For Genetec Training
Genetec offer training sessions for new and existing customers. To book your training session with Genetec via GSA, please complete the following form and return to GSA. Upon receiving your form, a GSA representative will contact you to discuss the availability and cost of your requested course. Positions are limited in each class and availability of sessions will be discussed with you once an application has been submitted.
Bookings must be made 1 month in advance. Please specify your preferred date and we will confirm the allocation of your session once Genetec have confirmed event registration.

Admin rights are required to install our software. If you do not have admin rights, please make sure you have permission to run remote desktop as well as modify firewall rules (enable/disable) |
Genetec Student Prerequisite checklist:
Familiarity with Windows OS
- Working with Task Manager
- Working with Windows services
- Familiarity with installing/uninstalling applications
- Understanding of windows user accounts (local users, administrators, domain accounts)
- What is a database?
- What it a database server?
- Familiarity with SQL databases (MS SQL Express, Standard or Enterprise)
Storage basics
- Internal storage / external storage
- What is a SAN? What is a NAS?
- What is RAID?
- Understanding of IP addresses, subnets, ports
- What is TCP vs. UDP?
- How to set a static / DHCP IP address in Windows.
- Working with command line IP tools (e.g. ping, tracert, ipconfig)
- (Recommended: CompTIA Network+, or equivalent
