Tecom has launched a major platform upgrade for Discovery, delivering powerful new hardware, expanded functionality, and a completely streamlined installer experience. Available now from GSA Systems, this release includes:
  • TSX10000 Discovery Firmware (TSX-2)
  • TSX17000 Wi-Fi Adapter
  • TSX16000 4G Communications Module
Together, they form a modern, scalable, future-proof access control and intrusion solution designed for Australian and New Zealand environments.


1. TSX10000 Firmware 
(TSX-2 Release)

The TSX-2 firmware delivers a significant upgrade to the Discovery control panel, unlocking new capabilities, improved workflows, and enhanced programming flexibility.


Highlights

  • Onboard reader ports now support Wiegand

  • Reader ports now enabled for standard doors and lifts

  • Onboard USB ports now active for supported accessories

  • Full installer programming available via the web interface

  • User programming now also available through the browser

  • Increased system capacity with 65,535 onboard users (no licence required)

  • Support for descriptive entity names

  • Optimised programming for onboard & remote devices

  • Improved login security (email + complex password)

  • Updated dashboard information and new navigation structure

  • Release notes accessible directly from the WebUI

Resolved Issues

  • Full installer & user programming now implemented

  • Wiegand ports fully functional

  • Improved CTPlus diagnostic compatibility

Not compatible with:

  • TS0866, TS0867, TS0869 controllers

  • TS1053, TS1054, TS1084 modules

  • Wi-Fi/USB-Ethernet adapters cannot be used for UltraSync

Upgrade Path (for firmware 1.0 or 1.1)

  1. Upload configuration via CTPlus

  2. Default the panel

  3. Upgrade via Discovery browser

  4. Reconfigure CTPlus

  5. Download configuration back into the panel

2. TSX16000 4G Communications Module

A high-performance 4G LTE module providing secure wireless connectivity for Discovery panels.

  • Discovery-family design, DIN mounted, Clipsal 2M size

  • USB-C powered (cable included)

  • CAT 4 LTE for improved coverage & throughput

  • Dual SIM slots for automatic failover

  • UltraSync-ready with full programming support

  • Supports Cellular and Dual Path service grades

Dual-Path Signalling

  • Ethernet → Cellular failover

  • SIM 1 ↔ SIM 2 failover

  • No programming required for failover logic

Compatibility

Not compatible with UltraSync “Durapoll” grades
(Durapoll has been deprecated)
